[Bug 1971114] Re: Ubuntu 22.04 python3-grpcio causes some apps to use 100% of the CPU
I get similar behavior with Warpinator (https://github.com/linuxmint/warpinator/issues/127). In this particular case, it causes a complete lock of the program. Same symptom - 100% on a core. [Bug 1944711] Re: restarting systemd-logind loses all existing sessions
Seems good to me, no more broken sessions after resuming, loginctl list commands always output as expected. Checking org.freedesktop.login1 with d-feet correctly shows sessions and users. One issue I noticed, which I at first assumed was related to this issue, is I will occasional lose my network on resume. Since this still occurs with ubuntu3.14 perhaps they aren't related after all. [Bug 1896798] [NEW] Needs --disable-sse2 flag for Vortex86
Public bug reported: Greetings, I am using Ubuntu 16.04.6 LTS as provided by Winsystems for their Vortex83DX3 PC104 board. This is an i686 architecture CPU. ads@vortex:~/src$ apt-cache policy libxerces-c3.1 libxerces-c3.1: Installed: (none) Candidate: 3.1.3+debian-1 Version table: 3.1.3+debian-1 500 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial/universe i386 Packages Our software package uses xerces-c extensively for configuration and has worked for 10+ years on arm/jessie and x86/redhat. I was receiving a core dump in the xerces library while evaluating the Vortex86 as a replacement CPU. In debugging the issue I built xerces-c from source. Long and short it works fine if I add the --disable-sse2 flag to the configure script. 1. I am not sure whether the maintainers (you?) are willing to re- deploy with that flag 2. if not, we have an internal debian repository, and I am willing to package it ourselves for ourselves. [Bug 1419563] Re: Keyboard CTRL, ALT and SUPER keys binded as SHIFT
I'm not sure there's a lot we can do - you can't re-map the keys (the obvious workaround) because they're sending identical codes. A quick google for "sonix usb keyboard linux" gives a number of similar/duplicate issues, with no resolution. a) Try a different kernel version - this could be a regression on the kernel you're using, maybe try up/downgrading it. b) Return the keyboard? (not sure this is possible, but I'd attempt to if it is) and buy a different one. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1419563 Title: Keyboard CTRL, ALT and SUPER keys binded as SHIFT To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linuxmint/+bug/1419563/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1334377] [NEW] PLEASE REMOVE THIS PACKAGE (OBSOLETE/UNSUPPORTED)
Public bug reported: Hi, I'm one of the upstream maintainers of this package (with Linux Mint). This particular package is extremely out-of-date, and is currently unmaintained (We provide a PPA for up-to-date builds of these packages). Unfortunately, unwitting Ubuntu users either: a) Install this obsolete package and encounter bugs that won't ever get fixed, or are caused by newer versions of Gtk+ 3 (for example) b) Install the PPA version but think this page is for support of that version. And on top of it all, they have a (rightful) expectation of some sort of support on this distribution when there is none. I know there are efforts being made in Debian currently, to provide up- to-date packages (new maintainer), but that could take some time, is by no means a sure thing, and in the meantime, I'd prefer this page didn't even exist, or at least the package removed and the page made effectively read-only. [Bug 1241811] Re: USB disk not automatically mounted after upgrade to 13.10
@Romano, To be honest I am not sure what I have. I have been upgrading this laptop over the years starting from ubuntu 8. So far I have not been able to automount my disk however. I noticed in dmesg it says the following: FAT-fs (sdc1): Volume was not properly unmounted. Some data may be corrupt. Please run fsck. [Bug 923949] [NEW] Virtualbox 4.1.8.r75467 - installing precise-desktop-amd64.iso
Public bug reported: I downloaded precise-desktop-amd64.iso from Ubuntu on Monday 30th Jan 2012 to install into Virtualbox (version 4.1.8.r75467). I was in the process of using it as a Live CD to install 12.04LTS so that I can test it out. The problem began before I was trying to choose whether to use the "Try Ubuntu" option or the "Install Ubuntu" option. I could not choose either because the mouse cursor disappeared! So I tried to do the same method but using Ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS AMD64 iso (a very recent download within Jan 2012) and the mouse cursor can be seen. It is very bizarre! How do I get around this? Do I need to do an extra trick? Or is it simply the precise-desktop-amd64.iso image that is causing the problem? I've tried to google online to see if there was a workaround and there doesn't seem to be. So thought I had better raise it as a bug because it looks like a bug. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: I downloaded precise-desktop-amd64.iso from Ubuntu on Monday 30th Jan 2012 to install into Virtualbox (version 4.1.8.r75467). Public bug reported: During the LiveCD session, the network manager recognised both my wireless networks, buit was unable to connect to either of them. [Bug 871520] Re: Can't pause, quit, or close banshee while, or after, playing example
I have tried to reproduce this bug using the same ISO image, both during the LiveCD session and with the system installed. I can't get it to appear. I have been using a Compaq C700 laptop - Celeron with integrated graphics - for ISO testing but in the light of my trouble-free test runs, have since put a second installation on my Acer em350 netbook. [Bug 856098] Re: Message appears at an early stage of the installation saying that user does not have permission to open a temporary file
It couold not exactly be described as a dialogue. An (apparently empty) nautilus window opened, and the error message appeared superimposed on that window. The interruption appeared immediately before the stage at which you are invited to open a wireless data connection. Dismissing the error message and closing the window allowed installation to proceed normally. There is a complicating factor, in that the interruption appeared on three separate machines (desktop, laptop and netbook) while I was testing 20110921.2 with a USB stick made with Unetbootin, but can't be reproduced with the (otherwise apparently identical) beta2 release version, which I have been testing with sticks made with USB disk creator. [Bug 779213] [NEW] Dual boot fails with Mageia/Mandriva
Public bug reported: While Kubuntu 11.04 is now my main distribution, I have also been testing the beta versions of Mageia. In attempting to run Mageia as a subsidiary distribution in a multi-boot situation controlled by Ubuntu/Kubuntu, I have run into a problem that I had previously experienced while attempting to use Mandriva in a similar way - the boot process terminates in a kernel panic, apparently because Grub2 doesn't properly identify the default boot location in Mageia/Mandriva. The problem doesn't seem to arise (for me, anyway) with other distributions still using Grub1, such as openSUSE and Fedora, and has apparently already been raised upstream. See: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=606904 This bug was marked as resolved in version 1.98 of Grub2 back in August 2010. Nevertheless, the issue still exists in version 1.99~rc1-13ubuntu, as used in Ubuntu and Kubuntu 11.04. Since this appears to be a version specific to Ubuntu. I have reported the bug here rather than re-opening the upstream bug at this stage. I have just discovered that another bug report, complete with what appears to be a very simple patch to fix the problem, was lodged upstream in January 2010: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=566102 Clearly that patch has not yet been implemented. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/779213 Title: Dual boot fails with Mageia/Mandriva -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
