[Bug 1320070] Re: Realtek Wifi card RTL8723BE drops connection with MSI enabled

2015-11-18 Thread xkill
Workaround #39 solved this issue in Ubuntu (Vivid Vervet) for me a
couple of month ago.

Last week I upgraded to Ubuntu 15.10 (Wily Werewolf) and this issue returns.
Neither workaround #39 nor workaround #55 "fix" this issue for me.

Any hints?

2015-11-18 Thread xkill
Same issue here with buntu 15.10 (Wily Werewolf) and all updates
installed.

All workaround known to me (see
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1320070) don't work
any more on my machine.

[Bug 1448611] Re: No dropbox notify icon

2015-08-16 Thread xkill
Following steps solved this problem for me on Kubuntu 15.04

1) sudo apt-get install libappindicator3-1
2) manually install latest dropbox stable build

[Bug 1186846] Re: thunar custom keyboard shortcuts are lost upon logout

2014-01-03 Thread xkill
I set a new hotkey to show desktop.

$ xfconf-query --channel xfce4-keyboard-shortcuts --property
/xfwm4/custom/Superd --reset
$ xfconf-query --channel xfce4-keyboard-shortcuts --property
/xfwm4/custom/Superd --create --type string --set show_desktop_key

This works until the next restart. Then the new hotkey is lost.

[Bug 1078922] Re: Fan runs unnecessary

2012-11-23 Thread xkill
I basically have the same problem. After upgrading from 12.04 to 12.10
the fan of my laptop is running nearly always. In 12.04 the fan wasn't
running most time. CPU temperature is fine:

 sensors
coretemp-isa-
Adapter: ISA adapter
Core 0:   +54.0°C  (high = +80.0°C, crit = +90.0°C)
Core 2:   +51.0°C  (high = +80.0°C, crit = +90.0°C)
