[Bug 218330] [NEW] nvidia driver does not work in 8.04
Public bug reported: I see proprietary Nvidia driver in jockey-gtk, but nvidia driver in xorg.conf doesn't work. After reboot there is low resolution mode and program for videomode setup. nvidia driver doesn't work at all, it even doesn't pass a test. nv driver passes test in 1024x768, but it works in that resolution only after some manual changes in xorg.conf - I need to comment out 640x480 and 800x600 modelines and only after that I've got 1024x768. In 7.10 everything was OK... Videocard - GeForce 6150, integrated on ASUS A8N-VM CSM motherboard. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- nvidia driver does not work in 8.04 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/218330 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 155881] gnome-sound-recorder works very bad
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-media gnome-recorder really records something only in WAV mode, but resulting WAV file is totally unreadable by any other sound applications (wrong format, 25 bit format, etc), except gnome-recorder itself - it plays that files good. I've installed OGG encoder, gnome-recorder's files in OGG format are totally broken - in resulting file there is no sound, only clicks, pulses and other noise. When I try to open my home directory after closing gnome-recorder, Nautilus halts, and it halts every time unless I've restarted X. Native console ALSA recorder records everything to normal readable WAV files without any trouble. ** Affects: gnome-media (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- gnome-sound-recorder works very bad https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/155881 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
