[Bug 1021308] Re: software-center crashed with AttributeError in do_draw(): 'PackageStatusBar' object has no attribute '_border_width'
I can reproduce this in a kubuntu VM. The root of the problem appears to be that there is no initial "style-update" signal on kubuntu send on the oxygen-gtk3 style theme. This appears to be caused by commit: http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.comp.kde.cvs/1125401 Now this affects more than just the crash, the other effect is e.g. the listview problem described in comment #8 and maybe more. We need to look at all places that call "style-updated". One workaround could be to use the old "style-set" signal which is still delivered on kde4, not sure about the xfce engine, but I suspect its a similar issue. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1021308 Title: software-center crashed with AttributeError in do_draw(): 'PackageStatusBar' object has no attribute '_border_width' To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/software-center/+bug/1021308/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1021308] Re: software-center crashed with AttributeError in do_draw(): 'PackageStatusBar' object has no attribute '_border_width'
I had the same in Lubuntu 12.10 (History: Freshly installed Ubuntu 12.04 today, dist-upgrade to 12.10, then installed the Lubuntu packages). I noticed that it looked funny before it crashed (screenshot attached). I tried to repeat it but it doesn't crash any more. Now, after double- clicking on the flash plugin entry it looks weird as well -- the description is missing unless I select it, and there is no Install button. ** Attachment added: "Ubuntu Software Centre_001.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/software-center/+bug/1021308/+attachment/3340215/+files/Ubuntu%20Software%20Centre_001.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1021308 Title: software-center crashed with AttributeError in do_draw(): 'PackageStatusBar' object has no attribute '_border_width' To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/software-center/+bug/1021308/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
