This really is a different bug. Bug #1445595 is about a new Nautilus window opening. That doesn't happen with this bug on Trusty. As part of the big bug review for 16.04 LTS I have tested this on 15.10 and the bug is still there. Change in behaviour: A new Nautilus window is opened and focused regardless of the current state of Nautilus.
