Public bug reported: My computer is an Acer Revo RL100-UR20P. I've installed Lubuntu 12.04 64-bit (lsb_release -rd reports Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS). This computer has a wireless combination keyboard and touch pad that can be switched between the two functions. When I boot the computer the touch pad (mouse) function is active, and works fine until I switch to the keyboard function. After I type one character, the computer stops responding to the control in either keyboard or touch pad mode, and it remains in this state until I reboot.
Following instructions in the bug reporting documentation I made copies of dmesg and /var/log/Xorg.0.log after boot and after the device failed, but there were no differences in the files between the two events. I've attached the dmesg content from immediately after boot, and will attach the Xorg.0.log file after I submit. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1041761 Title: combo keyboard/touch pad stops working when switched to keyboard To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1041761/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
