It's worth noting neither bugs are present when the Unity plugin is disabled from within CCSM. It's also worth noting that when re-enabling the Unity plugin from within CCSM on Ubuntu 13.10, the panel fade animation during dragging doesn't initate, and neither this lag nor the lost drop events occur. This affects me as well. I would like to ask that this problem also spread on different software that uses system default drag drop procedures - filezilla for example.
