[Bug 1069856] Re: error: cannot find a GRUB drive for . Check your device.map.
Recently encountered this, and I turned up this page while searching for solutions, and I hate to turn this into a "forum" post but I wanted to leave this here for anyone else beating their head against the wall over this. On my afflicted system one of the partitions that was part of my btrfs raid 1 array did not have a type. fdisk, changed the type to Linux and grub was happy. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1069856 Title: error: cannot find a GRUB drive for . I still see this (or very similar errors) on 13.10, with / on btrfs (multidevice sda3 sdb3) and /boot on devicemapper raid1 (sda2 and sdb2).
