** Description changed:
HOW TO REPRODUCE:
- Open several apps at the same time to provoke a high CPU (not sure about
- that... Is it CPU/GPU/RAM?) load.
+ Open several apps at the same time to provoke a high GPU or RAM load.
WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN:
Windows should just grey out until responsive.
WHAT HAPPENS:
Often, to things happen:
- The launcher reveals and hides inconsistently even though the mouse is
still hovering over it, making it nearly impossible to switch between windows
or launch another app. It seems the launcher very frequently "looses ability to
feel" that the pointer is still on top. A natural user response is to touch the
edge several times to reveal it, ending up in seeing the launcher hiding and
revealing frequently even when the user is doing something else afterwards.
- The lower part of the top panel reveals some of the background and
flickers, often when a window is greyed out.
EXTRA INFORMATION
This happens to me on my Samsung N310 netbook with Ubuntu 12.10 up to date. I
already have upgraded from 1 GB of RAM to 2 GB so my machine could handle 12.04.
It happens when using the netbook screen as well as an external monitor, but
it might still be related to Bug #1069242.
See attached video to understand better. Whoopsie appearing, reporting a
Dmedia crash, is probably not linked to this (first time it happened).
