2015-04-23 Thread Alexander Kallenbach
It is really a hidden feature of Evince. Not easy to discover how to
open the embedded documents.

[Bug 1078583] Re: Document asks for Adobe Reader X

Thanks Simon.

An example file is available at
http://wwwimages.adobe.com/www.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/feature-
details/acrobat/axi/pdfs/combine-pdf-files-portfolio-sample.pdf

I probably don't have their permission to attach it.

[Bug 1078583] Re: Document asks for Adobe Reader X

2012-12-02 Thread Simon B.
1. Open a PDF portfolio
2. See the message. I believe the software used to create the portfolio
(probably from Adobe) has bundled this message as a normal pdf fallback in case
the viewer doesn't handle pdf portfolios. However, it is misleading because I
thought it is evince that sends this message.

Attaching a snapshot.

** Attachment added: Approximate translation: Have a totally new experience by
opening this PDF portfolio with Acrobat X or Acrobat Reader and up. (button)
Download Adobe Reader now!
