After updating BIOS; When I add noapic on grub freezes are disappearing. KSysGuard listing 8 CPUs but the first CPU core always 100%. When I remove noapic on grub freezes are persists. Osman Çaylak, could you please test the latest upstream kernel available following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds ? It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Please do not test the daily folder, but the one all the way at the bottom. Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please comment on which kernel version specifically you tested. If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tags: kernel-fixed-upstream kernel-fixed-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER where VERSION-NUMBER is the version number of the kernel you tested. I have tested this kernel: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel- ppa/mainline/v3.7-rc8-raring/ The mainline kernel does not fix this bug, I have added the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'. Also there were some errors while installing the kernel. Another issue on kernel 3.5.0-19: When I add noapic nolapic on grub, KSysGuard[0] listing only 1 CPU and it is always working 100%. Computer is really slow. When I add only noapic on grub, same as 3.5.0-18. KSysGuard listing 8 CPUs but the first CPU core always 100%. Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.7 kernel[0] (Not a kernel in the daily directory) and install both the linux-image and linux-image-extra .deb packages.
