[Bug 1081791] Re: Green Headphone Out, No sound at all after logout
I just noticed today the same bug affecting me. I use a Presario CQ62 Compaq laptop running 2D Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS. My built in speakers work fine always, but if I log out and back in, the green output jack in which I have an external speaker set attached no longer works. I have to do a full reboot to repair. Let me know if any additional information would be helpful. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1081791 Title: Green Headphone Out, No sound at all after logout To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/1081791/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Re: [Bug 1081791] Re: Green Headphone Out, No sound at all after logout
Thank you for your reply, Yes, I mean the jack detection is probably incorrect after re login. The speaker is mutted correctly but no sound get out of the plugged headphone. What I collected with ubuntu-bug is after re login. But during that, ubuntu-bug suggested me to open alsa-mixer and checked the master volume... So I did it (I only modify the volume of the master and of the headphone). After that, everything started to work correctly and ubuntu-bug undertook tests of the sound. Tell me if I can provide you more informations.
