[Bug 1081791] Re: Green Headphone Out, No sound at all after logout

2012-12-30 Thread Greg Gilfillan
I just noticed today the same bug affecting me. I use a Presario CQ62
Compaq laptop running 2D Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS. My built in speakers work
fine always, but if I log out and back in, the green output jack in
which I have an external speaker set attached no longer works. I have
to do a full reboot to repair.

Let me know if any additional information would be helpful.

2012-11-22 Thread Raymond
it is normal that the speaker is muted after the headphone is plugged

do your mean the jack detection is incorrect ?

did you collected the alsa info after re login?

Re: [Bug 1081791] Re: Green Headphone Out, No sound at all after logout

2012-11-22 Thread jay-allemand
Thank you for your reply,

Yes, I mean the jack detection is probably incorrect after re login. The
speaker is mutted correctly but no sound get out of the plugged headphone.

What I collected with ubuntu-bug is after re login. But during that,
ubuntu-bug suggested me to open alsa-mixer and checked the master
volume... So I did it (I only modify the volume of the master and of the
headphone). After that, everything started to work correctly and
ubuntu-bug undertook tests of the sound.

Tell me if I can provide you more informations.
