More good news, the fix is included in guake 0.7.2-1 which is available in Ubuntu Wily, so I believe this can be marked as fix released. (The only remaining instance is that --show-hide is mentioned in the summary of the manpage. I took a look at this again. The bad news is that this issue is still present in guake 0.5.0-2 on Ubuntu 15.04. The good news is that it the issue also has been reported and fixed upstream [1], see [2] in particular. It looks like the fix is included in version 0.5.1 so presumably this will be resolved once that is packaged in Ubuntu. Thanks for reporting this issue. I can confirm the manpage and help options disagree in guake 0.4.3-3 on Ubuntu Raring. I note that guake -h lists the additional command: -s SELECT_TAB, --select-tab=SELECT_TAB Select a tab Presumably this has been added as a new feature while show-hide was renamed to toggle-visibility.
