[Bug 108811] Re: 7.04 Unable to play rmvb files correctly

2008-03-03 Thread LMTDreamer
Hi, there,

I've upgrade to 7.10 (actually, whole new install due to deletion my
partition in a mistake). The totem installed seems working fine.

Looking forward to 8.04.

Thanks for the great work!!!

Hi there
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in
it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with
the development version of Ubuntu, Hardy Heron?

Thanks in advance.

2007-12-02 Thread Brian Murray
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. This bug did not have a package associated with it,
which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper
developers. You can learn more about finding the right package at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage . I have classified this
bug as a bug in totem.

[Bug 108811] Re: 7.04 Unable to play rmvb files correctly

2007-04-23 Thread LMTDreamer
** Description changed:

I upgrade 6.10 to 7.04 online. After upgrade, I can not play rmvb movie
files by totem-xine correctly. The movie is played, with no sound.

Have tried replacing totem-xine by totem-gstreamer and all suggested
  packages installed as well.

Still, totem-gstreamer can not play rmvb files. It will ask to install
some package, but the package it indicated after search, gstreamer-
  ffmpeg, already installed.

Using MPlayer (from menu list, the command is gmplayer) can not play the
  file, too.

[man mplayer] or [man gmplayer], the same thing showed in the terminal.

Just to add:

I downloaded w32codec_20061022-0.0_i386.deb from debian and upgraded the
w32codec in 7.04.
However, totem-xine still plays the movie with no sound
