[Bug 109623] Re: distro upgrade from 6.10 to 7.04 crashed

2007-05-28 Thread Richard Birnie
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 107779 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/107779

This seems to be a problem with adept_updater handling of unicode. Bug
107779 and duplicates report similar errors all to do with handling of
unicode characters. Marking this bug as a duplicate of 107779 and
setting status to confirmed.

thanks,
Richard

[Bug 109623] Re: distro upgrade from 6.10 to 7.04 crashed

2007-04-26 Thread Richard Birnie
Grzegorz,

thank you for the bug report. To find the source of the problem a bit
more information is needed.

Which upgrade method did you use, the network upgrade as described on this page
http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/upgrading ?
If it was the network upgrade it would help if you can provide the log files
from the failed upgrade. These can be found in /var/log/dist-upgrade.

thanks,
Richard
