This isn't an issue in Kubuntu Intrepid (8.10) since Kicker is no more. Yes is is the KNewstiker. I youse OpenSuse 10.2. On a second partition i have install kubuntu use the same partition for /home Afterlogin the kicker krash traying to load the newsticker.
