Your Ubuntu version is EOL. Can you confirm this bug with a supported Ubuntu version? Thank you! ** Changed in: cupsys (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/109821 Title: Unable to connect to WinXP printer share, works in MDV To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cupsys/+bug/109821/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 109821] Re: Unable to connect to WinXP printer share, works in MDV
Ok, I found a hack to make this work http://www.mepis.org/node/3458 Basically, you use the add new printer wizard, you click Anonymous, scan for hosts, and click on workgroup to expose host machines. Then, you click back, and change to guest authentication, and click next again. Without re-scanning, click on the host machine you found before, and this time it will show a list of shared printers. This makes me think that all the more so this bug should be fixed, because the basic functionality is there, and it can't be too difficult. It's definitely a KDE problem and not a Windows XP problem. -- Unable to connect to WinXP printer share, works in MDV https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/109821 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
