I'm not sure why your shortcut is different from mine, but it doesn't seem to matter. I don't know if Super+L was the default shortcut, or whether I set it, but either way, I have set it now. I am running Ubuntu 12.04.2 32 bit here. On my system, pressing Super + L opens the Launcher.
