[Bug 1133401] Re: Provide separate packages for each major version (clang-3.0, etc)
no, it should not, because GCC does it. Older GCC versions are there for front ends not available in newer versions, e.g Dv1, Dv2. Ubuntu is not a software museum, so please give examples why you would need these old versions, and which software cannot be built with newer versions. ** Changed in: clang (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Wishlist ** Changed in: clang (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1133401 Title: Provide separate packages for each major version (clang-3.0, etc) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/clang/+bug/1133401/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
