2008-05-20 Thread Stewart Midwinter
.deb files are in /var/cache/apt/archives

then do:
sudo dpkg -i wifi-radar_1.9.7-0ubuntu4_all.deb

mine just reinstalled. It started right up!

[Bug 118670] Re: [apport] wifi-radar crashed with AttributeError in module()

2007-10-13 Thread TylerOderkirk
After an unexpected shutdown (loss of power), I saw this issue. After
saving the attached default wifi-radar.conf from the source package at
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/w/wifi-radar/wifi-
radar_1.9.7.orig.tar.gz into /etc I was back in business.

For some reason the following didn't work for me (even with a solid net
connection)...

---snip
sudo apt-get --reinstall install 'wifi-radar'
[...]
Reinstallation of wifi-radar is not possible, it cannot be downloaded.
[...]
---snap

I wonder where apt keeps .deb's that I've installed... It would've been
nice to simply reinstall wifi-radar without having to use the net (which
of course I didn't have at the time).

[Bug 118670] Re: [apport] wifi-radar crashed with AttributeError in module()

2007-09-08 Thread Dan O'Huiginn
I have experienced the same problem. It seems that if wifi-radar does
not close properly, it can wipe the configuration file. When this file
(/etc/wifi-radar.conf) exists but is empty, starting wifi-radar will
trigger the bug.

A workaround is purging and reinstalling the package, or manually
recreating the file /etc/wifi-radar.conf
