[Bug 1192304] Re: Low graphics mode
Guilherme Caldas de Oliveira, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ . If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications-Accessories-Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report: apport-collect -p xorg REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER Thank you for your understanding. [Bug 1192304] Re: Low graphics mode
Have you tried using `Ctrl` + `Alt` + `F1` to switch to a logon terminal, logging in and then using the command `sudo lightdm restart`? That worked for me (sometimes) when I was testing 13.04 in VirtualBox... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1192304 Title: Low graphics mode To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1192304/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1192304] Re: Low graphics mode
Hi, thanks for helping, but my problem is worse. Usually, I don't even can open a tty terminal. It freezes completely. Sometimes I can open a terminal by this way when I press F12 before Ubuntu tries to start lightdm. Anyway, I just tried it that you just told me (sudo lightdm restart), but only a cursor appears and disappears after 2 seconds. For a while, I'm using xinit to open a graphical session.
