[Bug 1200932] Re: Using an intel GMA 3150 without opengl 2.1 support
Jacopo Remondina, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. As per https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases, Ubuntu 13.04 reached EOL on July 17, 2014. Is this reproducible in a supported release? ** Tags added: bios-outdated-1202 ** Changed in: mesa (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low ** Changed in: mesa (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1200932 Title: Using an intel GMA 3150 without opengl 2.1 support To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mesa/+bug/1200932/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1200932] Re: Using an intel GMA 3150 without opengl 2.1 support
The hw does *not* support OpenGL 2.1. The only to enable it is by faking a few functions and quite frequently incurring software rendering. Because it is such an oft requested "feature" the next version of mesa does enable the faked support by default - to the detriment of Unity (which in its current incarnation then causes mesa to fallback to software rendering) ** Package changed: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) => mesa (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1200932 Title: Using an intel GMA 3150 without opengl 2.1 support To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mesa/+bug/1200932/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
