Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nvidia-glx
Ubuntu Feisty Fawn (7.04). After today (29.06.07) upgrade of linux-restricted-modules and nvidia, the nvidia driver fails to start - I see just black sreeen. When I changed xorg.conf to use "nv" instead of "nvidia" it again became good. So I think it's a bug that comes with recent upgrade because all was OK before it. uname -a Linux desktop 2.6.20-16-generic #2 SMP Thu Jun 7 20:19:32 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux linux-restricted-modules-2.6.20 2.6.20.5-16.29 nvidia-glx 1.0.9631+2.6.20.5-16.29 All that changed is 29 instead of 28 at the end of version number! ** Affects: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.22 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Summary changed: - nvidia fails to start after recent upgrade of linux-restricted-modules and nvidia-kernel-source on feisty + nvidia fails to start after recent upgrade of linux-restricted-modules-* and nvidia-* -- nvidia fails to start after recent upgrade of linux-restricted-modules-* and nvidia-* https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/123040 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
