To be clear, the issue here is that the trusty kernel implements mitigation of networking and the profiles in precise do not contain support for this. #32 This bug was fixed in the package linux - 3.13.0-7.26: not fixed for me (dell e6500 under 12.04): still the same problem as with previous 3.13 kernel versions: no wifi, but workaround apparmor=0 still works. 3.13.0-6-generic#23~precise2 on dell e6500: wifi still works only when apparmor is de - activated (apparmor=0). kernel 3.13.0-5.20 (linux-lts-saucy): same problems as with 3.13.0-4.19 - no wifi On the other hand, 3.13.0-031300 (mainline) works okay, including wifi.
