Public bug reported: After doing a dist-upgrade today and rebooting, most appearance-related settings are not applied. (Wrong, aliased fonts; wrong theme, missing keybindings...). If I run "gnome-settings-daemon" from a Terminal, it starts without error and my settings are corrected. Did some recent change remove gnome-settings-daemon from the Ubuntu session definition or something?
