[Bug 129992] Re: [gutsy-tribe2 + upgrades] xawtv segfaults

2007-09-26 Thread Krzysztof Burghardt
2007/9/26, Michael Wisniewski [EMAIL PROTECTED]:
Thanks for the information. Just wondering, would this prevent you
from tuning in channels correctly? I don't know if it's a myth
 problem or a v4l problem.

No, I cannot remember any problems with scantv. I also cannot
reproduce Debian bug #430079 [1]. This seems to be a caused by
improperly handling of static struct member. As reported by Martin
Denn (patch submitter) it was fixed. This was unreproducible for me,
so patch did not changed anything for me. I hope this help others who
reported problems.

It appears that a few others are having the same problem.

 Count me too :)

Seriously... fixed package is awaiting for review on mentors.d.n. If
you cannot wait for its propagation to Ubuntu get sources and give
 pbuilder a try :^)

xawtv runs fine until you hit 'q' to quit at which point, it also
segfaults. See output attached
