[Bug 1310622] Re: [EasyNote_MX45, Analog Devices AD1986A, Other Speaker, Internal] Playback problem

2016-05-11 Thread Salsifi Jaune
I had the same problem, and realised that it may be caused by a previous
try to solve a sound problem.

The solution would be:

1. Upgrade to the last Ubuntu version to date

2 edit the file (with admin rights):
/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf

Find the line:
# Keep snd-pcsp from being loaded as first soundcard
#options snd-pcsp index=-2
options snd-hda-intel model=laptop-eapd

And change to
# Keep snd-pcsp from being loaded as first soundcard
options snd-pcsp index=-2
#options snd-hda-intel model=laptop-eapd

Save the changes and reboot.
This solved the issue for me.

[Bug 1310622] Re: [EasyNote_MX45, Analog Devices AD1986A, Other Speaker, Internal] Playback problem

2014-05-28 Thread Raymond
this look like Jack detection of headphone is inverted

https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/tiwai/sound.git/tree/Documentation/sound/alsa
/HD-Audio.txt

try hint

jack_detect (bool): specify whether the jack detection is available
at all on this machine; default true
- inv_jack_detect (bool): indicates that the jack detection logic is
  inverted
