Felicia, nothing in that log points to something xorg related.

Uploading "boot.log". Is this what you need to see?

Felicia, the next step to determine potential optimizations would be to
use bootchart to compare 13.04 to 16.04. Could you please post the
results of this here?

Re: [Bug 1313332] Re: 45+ seconds to boot

2016-03-06 Thread Felicia
Hi Christopher,

I've loaded the 16.04 version that you pointed me to alongside my current
14.04 version. I videoed the booting process so that I could compare the
startup time. 14.04 took about 57 sec from GRUB to desktop display. 16.04
takes about 52 secs from GRUB to desktop display. That's still longer than
version 13.04 which I think was under 30 +/- sec to startup.

Now that I have it, I'll keep trying out 16.04. Thank you for giving me the
opportunity to be part of the testing.

Sincerely,

Felicia

Re: [Bug 1313332] Re: 45+ seconds to boot

2016-02-29 Thread Felicia
Hi Christopher,

I followed the link and it looks like trying it would mean upgrading my OS?
I'll try it out as a dual boot but that will have to wait until this
weekend.

Thanks for following up on my bug report.
