Running apt-get as above (apt-get remove) will cause the packages to be removed but their configuration files, if any, will remain intact on the system. gnome-cards-data isn't listed in the gnome-games package as a dependency. Should it be? It is listed in gnome-games-data as a dependency and installs it if you are installing gnome-games, however it doesn't get automatically removed or autoremoved when gnome-games-data is uninstalled.
