Public bug reported: Binary package hint: lyx
Currently, the version of LyX on Feisty can not read LyX files generated on Fedora 7, nor on Ubuntu Gutsy. This is because the current version 1.4.3 does not include the necessary 'lyx2lyx' filter that allows it to read files from version 1.5. http://www.lyx.org/news.php#item4 I would urge that LyX be updated in Feisty (and Dapper) before Gutsy is released, so that LyX files remain portable between the two releases.
