I am running an up-to-date Hardy, and PrintScreen doesn't bring up ksnapshot. This is a regression from Dapper. As a further detail, I upgraded from Dapper LTS to Hardy LTS, and the upgrade process removed the binding. The problem has solved itself for me. I'm currently running ksnapshot 4:3.5.9-0ubuntu1 on Hardy final. I fixed this by adding an entry to KDE Control Centre/Regional/Input Actions.
