[Bug 132095] Re: xend crashed with ImportError in module()

2007-08-12 Thread Todd Deshane

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File /usr/sbin/xend, line 42, in module
from xen.xend.server import SrvDaemon
  File /usr/lib/python2.5/xen/xend/server/SrvDaemon.py, line 20, in module
import xen.lowlevel.xc
ImportError: /usr/lib/python2.5/xen/lowlevel/xc.so: undefined symbol:
Py_InitModule4

This is the actual error in the console. I thought I was able to get past this
error in the past, but can't seem to find how i did.

I thought that I had to remove some extraneous xen python libs or
something similar, but can't remember or get any attempts to work.

Also, it doesn't seem that the error messages are being logged to
/var/log/xen/* like they should be... Should this be a new bug or is there a
fix for it already?

[Bug 132095] Re: xend crashed with ImportError in module()

2007-08-12 Thread Todd Deshane
UPDATE: after moving /usr/lib/python/xen to /tmp it seems that this
problem is fixed... I am not sure if the package comes with those libs
or if it is just a problem with my setup.

I am guessing that my setup could have been messed up, I was also
missing a /etc/xen/xend-config.sxp.

I am going to test on a clean install and report any bugs and update
previous ones as applicable.
