[Bug 1327498] Re: [Asus S551LB] Networking disabled when starting from hibernation
Till now, I haven't had the problem of Networking disabled again. So, I guess it's fixed now :) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1327498 Title: [Asus S551LB] Networking disabled when starting from hibernation To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1327498/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1327498] Re: [Asus S551LB] Networking disabled when starting from hibernation
Strangely enough, hibernation through sudo pm-hibernate is working properly on my original kernel version: '3.13.0-29-generic'! The original problem of networking disabled after hibernation haven't occurred yet, but like I said it only happens Sometimes. I will try hibernation for some more time and let you know how it goes. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1327498 Title: [Asus S551LB] Networking disabled when starting from hibernation To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1327498/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1327498] Re: [Asus S551LB] Networking disabled when starting from hibernation
Sorry, I didn't choose 'Advanced options for Ubuntu' the first time. Anyway, I installed the latest mainline kernel like you said. (v3.15-utopic) sudo pm-hibernate now works! However, it didn't ask me for my username and password after waking from hibernation. I don't know if this is a new feature or a bug. Can I keep using this kernel? I mean, will it be stable? ** Tags added: kernel-fixed-upstream kernel-fixed-upstream-3.15 ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1327498 Title: [Asus S551LB] Networking disabled when starting from hibernation To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1327498/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1327498] Re: [Asus S551LB] Networking disabled when starting from hibernation
Karim Sonbol, the next step is to fully reverse commit bisect the kernel in order to identify the fix commit. Could you please do this following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/KernelBisection#How_do_I_reverse_bisect_the_upstream_kernel.3F ? Regarding using the mainline kernel please see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/MainlineBuilds#Kernel.2BAC8-FAQ.2BAC8-DebuggingMainlineBuildsSupport.Does_the_kernel_team_support_the_mainline_kernel_builds.3F . ** Tags removed: regression-potential ** Tags added: needs-reverse-bisect ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1327498 Title: [Asus S551LB] Networking disabled when starting from hibernation To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1327498/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I installed the latest mainline version, but it didn't appear in the boot menu. Karim Sonbol, could you please test the latest mainline kernel via http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.15-utopic/ ?
