Public bug reported: This driver installs without problem and after rebooting the resolution is okay. But the system is running on Gallium, (glxinfo), and glxgears (windowed) is taking up 140% cpu usage as shown in 'top'. If you follow the intel instructions to build the driver for kernel 3.1.0 in fedora 16, this is not the case. Glxgears runs with 6% cpu usage. This necessarily means that the driver package is not doing what it is supposed to do. The renderer shows in F16 as PVRSGX545, but in Ubuntu it is Gallium. After applying the same procedure in Ubuntu as in fedora, we get the resolution but AGAIN we meet with renderer 'Unknown', and Glxgears give 140% cpu use.
