First a quick note, this is more a reminder for myself then something
that urgently needs to be fixed. It looks to me like the SystemUpdate
tests in particular need to be reworked. Some points:


* The test for searching state assumes that it will have to wait for the 
Searching state to be reached, but it's possible the searching state is already 
completed when it waits. 
* All the tests assume no updates are present, there are no tests for when 
updates are present. We should fake an updates backend to test this.
