Yes, it's very annoying. It looks like a windows 2000 system tray with icons taking over the entire bar /panel. - I for one like to have a lot of launcher icons which i only use + I for one like to have a lot of indicator icons which i only use sparingly. this feature /bug is especially annyoing for me because the main menu bar in ubuntu doubles as a universal menu and title bar for all apps /windows (when maximized) and it also contains the main menu and (maximize, minimize, close) buttons leaving even less space. I use the window title bar for many things like click, draging and dropping, maximizing / restoring windows, right click "menu item close", - so since i cant see the menus and the launcher icons take up all the - space i end up either clicking on the menu or on one of the launcher + so since i cant see the menus and the indicator icons take up all the + space i end up either clicking on the menu or on one of the indicator icons when i try to do one of the said actions.
