[Bug 133712] Re: [Gutsy] Rhythmbox crashes X-Server
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, you are not using the most recent version of this package for your Ubuntu release. Please upgrade to the most recent version and let us know if you are still having this issue. I had a similar crash in bug #126820, but I haven't been able to reproduce since August. ** Changed in: xorg-server (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) = Tormod Volden (tormodvolden) Status: Confirmed = Incomplete -- [Gutsy] Rhythmbox crashes X-Server https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/133712 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 133712] Re: [Gutsy] Rhythmbox crashes X-Server
I have no time to debug these things and I don't use Linux as my main operating system (I just use it from time to time only to see that it is still so backwarded and full of bugs that it is not usable for people who just want to do their stuff) so I don't care at all about that bug. Why do you guys ask for bug reports if you don't care? That'll be my last bug report I make for an ubuntu distribution since nobody seems to care and just wants me to do the work to fix the bug. Have fun with your buguntu. [Bug 133712] Re: [Gutsy] Rhythmbox crashes X-Server
This is no Rhythmbox problem it is a driver one I guess. Since Rhythmbox enables Visualization plugin by default I guess it is similar to the Intel problem (Bug #127101) which has been fixed or the Ati one (maybe Bug #108527) . Try to disable the Visualization plugin (Edit - Plugins) and recheck it please. @Cictani You are ridiculous. Btw. and there are several information missing like the output from lspci, your xorg.conf, Xorg.0.log and Xorg.0.log.old and the proprietary Nvidia driver couldn't be fixed through the Ubuntu devs. That's why it is in restricted Repository. -- [Gutsy] Rhythmbox crashes X-Server https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/133712 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

It also occures with nv lol. [Bug 133712] Re: [Gutsy] Rhythmbox crashes X-Server
Please install the xserver-xorg-core-dbg package, it can help make the backtrace more complete. If you could do more debugging it would be great, see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingXorg for some tips. Please try the newest drivers from https://wiki.ubuntu.com/XorgOnTheEdge also. Is it the same with the open-source driver nv ? -- [Gutsy] Rhythmbox crashes X-Server https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/133712 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 133712] Re: [Gutsy] Rhythmbox crashes X-Server
the screwed up stuff is totally unrelated to this bug, so don't worry about that, it was a xorg.conf file that displayconfig-gtk wrote for me, while i was playing with that. just the rhythmbox/xorg stuff is important here, i try to reproduce this bug successfully several with audio files which shows the cover art image, and some which don't, and even with the cover art plugin deactivated. i couldn't reproduce this with banshee instead of rhythmbox, for what is worth. -- [Gutsy] Rhythmbox crashes X-Server https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/133712 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
