[Bug 1341068] Re: Intel Corporation Centrino Advanced-N 6235 wifi is slow
In the old version 12.04 Ubuntu everything worked. Speed was 100megabit per second. In windows 7 too high speed. After installing 14.04 speeds has become less than 40 megabits iwlwifi 11n_disable = 8 - this method does not work (Translated using google translator) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1341068 Title: Intel Corporation Centrino Advanced-N 6235 wifi is slow To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1341068/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1341068] Re: Intel Corporation Centrino Advanced-N 6235 wifi is slow
The description here isn't very informative. It's slow compared to what? The same machine booted in Windows? Previous Ubuntu releases? One probable cause is that transmit aggregation as been enabled by default for some Intel hardware due to firmware bugs which caused unstable connections, which will definitely impact performance on 802.11n networks. If you know that your hardware worked fine with a previous Ubuntu release, or if you just want to see if it helps, you can boot Ubuntu with the iwlwifi.11n_disable=8 option to force transmit aggregation to be enabled. If you find this helps and gives you a stable connection, you can make this option permanent by creating a file named /etc/modprobe.d/iwlwifi-11n.conf which has the following text: options iwlwifi 11n_disable=8 ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Medium ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1341068 Title: Intel Corporation Centrino Advanced-N 6235 wifi is slow To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1341068/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
