Yes, I am using Synaptic 0.84.3ubuntu1 on Ubuntu 18.10 on 2 machines. In order to prep this report for the programmers, I will have a number of questions - thank you in advance for your patience. I see you are using Ubuntu 18.10 and Synaptic version 0.84.3ubuntu1 What are the exact steps to produce the problem? For example, 1. Open synaptic 2. Click Reload 3. In left pane, click status button 4. in left pane, click installed 5. in right pane right click on a package that has... 6. in the subsequent menu, select "mark for ..." 7. back in the right pane list of applications, see it is now... 8... Please revise the above steps. Could you submit a screen shot, showing the result, where it is marked as manual install?
