Hi Ludovic, I got an error on gscriptor called "Error not defined by ISO 7816"? what it means?.and in ubuntu 16.10 after running ATR_analysis command got an error is "Can't locate Chipcard/PCSC.pm in @INC (you may need to install the Chipcard::PCSC module) (@INC contains: /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.24.0/i686-linux /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.24.0 /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.24.0/i686-linux /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.24.0 .) at /usr/bin/scriptor line 22. Hi Ludovic , Thanks for your quick review and one more thing after installing the pcsclite1 by default my "libccid.so " driver is located in this path "/usr/lib/pcsc/ifd-ccid.bundle/Contents/Linux"after running pcsc_scan command on my ubuntu 10.04 LTS and Debian 7(wheezy) it is giving 3B 04 12 34 56 78 are my ATR string whether these bytes are correct ? please could you send me the link of installing pcsclite1 on ubuntu and Debian Linux distros...kindly guide me on right direction as well as send me the links(URL) regarding the documentation of related pcsclite1 with sample testing of commands such as pcsc_scan and gscriptor.how to upgrade the lower version of pcsclite to latest version of pcsclite? You log "pcsc_scan output" show that the card is working since the ATR is returned. I guess it is a bug in your Java program or a mis-configuration. I have made soem experiment using same card reader but different cards. Some them can be identified some not. So it can be the card problem indeed. ( bwt in i forgot to mention, in my case on windows it worked not constantly sometimes it did sometime it didn't.) You can remove the /usr/lib/pcsc/drivers/ifd-acsccid.bundle driver. It is for 32 bits only. I could not find a problem in your log. But the card never worked in this trace. I think you have a real problem with your card. Try with another card. It means that the driver is working correctly. It also means that the card is dead or is not a _smart_ card.
