[Bug 1354110] Re: please merge openssl from debian
new debdiff against the debian -2 package, with the merged ppc64el support ** Attachment added: debdiff-v2 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openssl/+bug/1354110/+attachment/4178224/+files/debdiff-v2 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1354110 Title: please merge openssl from debian To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openssl/+bug/1354110/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1354110] Re: please merge openssl from debian
The new release as you said is almost all incorporating the patches, this is why should be harmless to merge. A good reason for a merge is that we reduce a lot the debian delta, moreover there are two or three fixes in the debian packaging that might be useful to cherry-pick (restart services for example). But I think we can merge after utopic, it is up to you ;) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1354110 Title: please merge openssl from debian To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openssl/+bug/1354110/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1354110] Re: please merge openssl from debian
Thanks for the debdiff. What is the justification for the sync? 1.0.1f- 1ubuntu7 in utopic contains all of the security fixes already. Considering the stabilization effrts for the upcoming phone release, I'd prefer to not update openssl at this time unless there is very a compelling reason to do so. ** Changed in: openssl (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1354110 Title: please merge openssl from debian To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openssl/+bug/1354110/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
