Why is this a functional bug? Section 4.2.7.2 says:
The value of rel describes the meaning of the link, but does not impose
any behavioral requirements on Atom Processors.
But you impose a behavioral requirement. I think This is part of the Atom
standard is not a strong argument, because the standard in this case only
describes what is to be done if the link is actually processed.
I'd say this report should be a feature request to support rel=related
links. In principle there is nothing broken with not supporting optional
metadata. Please correct me if the RFC says otherwise.
I'll think over a good way adding support for it.
