Twinkle GUI has been resurrected in Xenial. twinkle-console from that package does not exhibit the problem. This is fatal bug, as twinkle with autostart only starts it however it deregister account immediately with text Info: Deregistering phone... and stay hanged. I also get this, it is less critical than the lack of a gui, since it is impossible for a new user to use the package without the gui. The package in precise still builds against Qt3 and thus has a GUI. The package in trusty is CLI-only. This problem only affects the CLI- version as far as I know.
