ubuntu 14.04.5 - Dell XPS13-L322X Nemo I had to install mtpfs Copying from mtp device to same partition or another inside fails with libmtp error : unknown error Moving inside the same partition works, but only from the left USB port. Note that the same error occurs when you try and move content from within the same drive.
