[Bug 137261] Re: epson R265 an R270 are not supported by gutsy
Thanks for your report. Your idea might get more attention and have the possibility of being implemented if you submit a specification for it. First check whether the idea is already registered https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+specs, and if so, contact the specification's drafter about your ideas. Otherwise, you can start writing a spec yourself. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FeatureSpecifications ** Changed in: gutenprint (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- epson R265 an R270 are not supported by gutsy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/137261 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 137261] Re: epson R265 an R270 are not supported by gutsy
Ubuntu/Debian always includes the Gutenprint stable release (5.0.x at this moment) while Gutenprint 5.1.x still is a development release (that will become the stable Gutenprint 5.2.x release). There is also a Debian bug report about this (see bugwatch) which has some rationale about why including a development release is not a good idea. -- epson R265 an R270 are not supported by gutsy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/137261 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Furthermore according to the release notes of gutenprint 5.0.1 the Epson R265 and R270 should be supported. ** Changed in: gutenprint (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) = Pascal De Vuyst -- epson R265 an R270 are not supported by gutsy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/137261 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
