Working from the test failures downward, I can't yet see where or if Unity8 gets any focus notifications from Mir at all: Unity8: assert_current_focused_application self.main_window.get_current_focused_app_id self._get_shell().focusedApplicationId ApplicationManager.focusedApplicationId ApplicationManager::focusApplication ApplicationInfo::focused() ApplicationInfo::setFocused() ... ? Instead it appears that Unity8 and QtMir dictate focus between themselves. The bug could always be unity8 made false assumptions which were safe to make till now. In that case it could be a unity8 bug.
