I have installed ibus-gtk sudo apt-get install ibus-gtk But the problem is still there. For example, if you copy and paste something till you don't save or change the window focus, the mouse pointer flickers. I have this bug too but it also affected the keyboard, when typing every few seconds some key presses would not register. This bug affects me too. When text is selected and i cut it using ctrl+x the cursor starts flickering and the cpu fan ramps up (i guess due to some hide/unhide cursor loop).
