The patch for this is in stable 3.13.11.9 which will appear in Trust linux 3.13.0-40.67. In the meantime you can try vanilla upstream stable at http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.13.11.10-trusty/. For example, wget http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.13.11.10-trusty/linux-image-3.13.11-03131110-generic_3.13.11-03131110.201410302136_amd64.deb sudo dpkg -i linux-image-3.13.11-03131110-generic_3.13.11-03131110.201410302136_amd64.deb -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1383446 Title: WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 6 at /build/buildd/linux-3.13.0/fs/proc/generic.c:522 remove_proc_entry+0x19f/0x1b0() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1383446/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I just installed Ubuntu 14.04 and updated to the latest kernel (3.13.0-39-generic) and also got this message. I found something here: https://lkml.org/lkml/2014/8/20/21 There's another link with the patch: http://marc.info/?l=linux-nfsm=140821782107427w=2 Thanks -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1383446 Title: WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 6 at /build/buildd/linux-3.13.0/fs/proc/generic.c:522 remove_proc_entry+0x19f/0x1b0() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1383446/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.18 kernel[0]. If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'. If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'. If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'. Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as Confirmed. Thanks in advance.
