[Bug 138834] Re: Bluetooth (OBEX Push) should remove devices not in range

2011-03-20 Thread Hendy Irawan
To remove Bluetooth devices manually:
--

I had to remove devices manually. The gnome applet asks hcid daemon for
known devices.

hcid database is on /var/lib/bluetooth/[YOUR-DONGLE-MAC-ADDRESS] . There are
several text files for several purposes: remove the line matching the mac
address of the old bluetooth device on each file and you're done.
I had to remove lines from the files sdp, manufacturers, features, classes,
lastused, lastseen, names.
If you don't know what mac addresses to remove, the names file can help you
because associates a mac address with a device name.
Remember: these files must be edited as root.

[Bug 138834] Re: Bluetooth (OBEX Push) should remove devices not in range

2009-11-23 Thread Martin Mai
Last upstream comment:

The Bluetooth plugin for nautilus-sendto now lives in gnome-bluetooth, and will
only show discovered devices, and known devices, avoiding the problem of
lingering discovered devices.

Please file a new bug against gnome-bluetooth if you still have problems with
the latest code.

Therefore I am closing this bug. As in the upstream comment, please open a new
bug against package gnome-bluetooth (most suitable upstream) if you have
still problems with the latest code. Latest code in case of ubuntu means, when
Ubuntu 10.04 gets updated versions (2.29.2 or 2.29.3) of the package
gnome-bluetooth. Thanks for reporting.

[Bug 138834] Re: Bluetooth (OBEX Push) should remove devices not in range

2009-03-06 Thread Baptiste Mille-Mathias
A device can be in undiscoverable state so it won't appear in the list, and so
you won't be able to send it files.
So the current behavior is the right one, so you can send files to
undiscoverable device.

Having a tool to manage devices in nautilus-sendto in not an option,
keep bluetooth tool for bluetooth management tool.

I agree, nautilus-sendto should include some tool to remove old devices.
