Yurij, please try with a current release of LibreOffice (7.1 or 7.2), and if
you are still able to reproduce the issue (selecting two rectangles with shift
+ click), please open a new bug report as this one as already overwhelmingly
big.
You can then link back to this one in the "see also" field.

2021-12-20 Thread zyss
This bug appears in the new version.

Shift+Click doesn't work as well as a rectangle-drag selection.

Version: 7.0.6.2
Build ID: 00(Build:2)
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.8; UI render: default; VCL: kf5
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Ubuntu package version: 1:7.0.6-0ubuntu0.20.10.1
Calc: threaded

Writer was running on KDE with "Global scale" ratio of 1.5 (150%) (HiDPI
monitor). Also tested with 100% (no) scaling.

Granted, but that was not the OP here. The rectangle-drag has never been
implemented for Writer. Only + multi-selection which has
worked correctly for writer since the 4.3.5 and 4.0 releases.

[Bug 1404358]

2020-01-07 Thread Stéphane Guillou
Hi Yasunori Endo

Which version are you actually referring to? 6.4.3.2 does not exist yet.
I assume you used 6.3.4.2

I tried with the latest pre-release, 6.4 RC1, and the bug that is
described, i.e. the issue with selecting two *shapes* (the blue
rectangles), is not reproducible.

If you refer to the issue with selecting two *pictures* or *one picture
and one shape*, you are looking for bug 34438, just like explained in
comment 62. Your help for that one would be really appreciated! But I
see you already took it on there. :)

Changing back to RESOLVED FIXED.

Cheers!

2020-01-07 Thread Jo7ueb
I tested this bug with LO6.4.3.2 (x64 windows).
I found that the original issue is *STILL REPRODUCED* in the newest released LO.

Selecting multiple objects is very very very fundamental feature Writer should
provide.
So I reopen this issue.

It seems nobody is working on this issue, so I will tackle with this issue.
If there're somebody coping with this issue, please let me know and have
discussion.

Thanks.

@Norbert X: This bug is really fixed. This bug is about selecting _two

Your problem is to select an image together with a shape. The underlying
reason is the same as for selecting two images. And that is bug 34438.

[Bug 1404358]

2016-02-29 Thread Emad Khazraee
I am using LibreOffice Version: 5.1.0.3 Build ID:
1:5.1.0~rc3-0ubuntu1~trusty0; the bug is still there. It is almost five
years that I am checking this bug and it has never been resolved. Folks
here saying that "the bug has been fixed since LibO 4.3.5," it has not
been the case for me. I installed all new updates; installed it fresh
for every single major update since 4.3. The bug is still there and it
is very annoying. It does not exist in Impress or Draw, it only affects
Writer.

I am using LibreOffice as my main productivity suite and I usually have
diagrams and images that I need to put an arrow or circle on it to show
a specific feature in the image. I cannot group them in Writer. Every
time, I have to insert the image and the drawing element in Impress or
Draw, select and group them there; then copy and paste it in Writer.

I think it is a major problem. I am a devoted Libreoffice user. I wrote
my 350 page PhD dissertation in LibreOffice and this very bug was a pain
in the rear end every single time.

I hope someone resolve this issue once for ever. As it simply works in
Impress and Draw!

Hi Seakha,

Sorry to read that you have problems with this. And thanks for checking
and reporting.

Now looking at the original report:

(In reply to Regina Henschel from comment #0)

This simply works for me in 5.0.5.2 on Ubuntu (thus didn't bother to check
other versions.)
Therefor I expect your problem to be a (bit) different. Could you please open a
new issue with clear description of the steps and test document as attachment?

(And even if the same problem would have occurred, there would have been
another underlying problem probably, thus also then a new issue is the
way to go :) )

Closing again..

@Andras
No, this bug is different. It's about selecting Image(s) and Drawing(s)
object(s) together.

So user is unable to select image(s) and drawing(s) with shift+click or
Select tool rectangle for grouping or aligning.

You can try to draw something in MS Word 2003+, insert an image with
Drawing Canvas and try to group these objects. MS Word allows user to
select images and drawings together with mouse or Shift, but LibO does
not.

If you can please fix this bug too.
